[link] <-- A link if anybody wants to read an article about him.
The guy was a marketing genius, and I don't think Pixar would exist today if it weren't for him, not to mention all the things that Apple's done in terms of the development of technology. I wonder how things will change? I just recently read about him stepping down as CEO back in August due to his pancreatic cancer, but I certainly didn't see him passing so soon.
You'll still be able to buy overpriced phones every year
And how is it a joke? If people are buying his products, then he's clearly doing something very right in the marketing department, especially since his stuff is so expensive and people are still buying it even in this shit economy. That company is the biggest in the world, and it only became that way after he became CEO again and pulled it out of the toilet. And he did the same thing when he was CEO of Pixar; that company wouldn't even exist right now if it weren't for him, and we wouldn't have gotten things like Toy Story from it. He is somebody that I really want to study and learn from because of the fact that he was so successful. I admired him, and so did a lot of other people, and I'm sad to see him go.
Few people showed such passion for what they were doing like him, I may hate the Mac, but I love the man...Its a shame that cancer finally took him.
and i never KNEW him. i never met him. and i didn't follow his life like most people did. especially the applefanpeople.
but this is sad, regardless of what he's done. he was a huge icon to a lot of people and influences a lot of people's lives. to me, his legacy shouldn't be soley about the products he made but rather about how he touched people and helped people BECAUSE OF the products he made, ya know?
RIP steve jobs. you changed the world.
Also, I saw the Pixar story like, two or three weeks ago, and he actually was a big deal to them. Thanks to him, Pixar is where it is right now. Kudos to him.
Pixar wouldn't even exist right now if it weren't for him. I'm positive of that.
